தமிழ் இணைய மாநாடு 2018 கருத்தரங்க கட்டுரைகள் வரவேற்பு
உலகத் தமிழ் தகவல் தொழில் நுட்ப மன்றம் (உத்தமம்) அடுத்த தமிழ் இணைய மாநாடு (2018) வரும் ஜுலை 6-8 திகதிகளில் தமிழ்நாடு கோவையில் தமிழ்நாடு வேளாண்மை பல்கலைக்கழக வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற உள்ளது என்பதை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம். இந்த அறிவிப்பின் மூலம் மாநாட்டின் தொழில் நுட்ப கருத்தரங்குகளில் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கட்டுரைகள் படைக்கத் தமிழ்க் கணினி ஆய்வாளர்களை அன்புடன் அழைக்கின்றோம். சுவிட்சர்லாந்திலுள்ள லோசானின் தேசிய தொழில் நுட்ப பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் பணிபுரியும் டாக்டர் கே. கல்யாணசுந்தரம் (உத்தமத்தின் முன்னாள் தலைவர்) மாநாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கு குழுவின் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

மேலாண்மை போன்ற தலைப்புகளில் கட்டுரைகள் வரவேற்கப்படுகின்றன.

தமிழ் இணையம்: இணையத்தில் தமிழ் மொழியின் உள்ளடக்கம் மற்றும் விநியோகம்; வலைப்பதிவுகள், விக்கிபீடியா, பாட்காஸ்டிங், சமூக வலைத்தளங்கள்; தமிழ் மின்நூலகம், மின்வழி ஆவணக் காப்பகம்; தமிழ் இணைக்கப்பட்ட தரவு, சொற்பொருள் வலை, தமிழ், தமிழியல் சார்ந்தவை தொடர்பான தரவு விஞ்ஞானம்; கற்றல் முகாமைத்துவ அமைப்புகள், மெய்நிகர் கற்றல், மற்றும் தொடர்புடைய தலைப்புகள்.
மேலே கூறப்பட்டதைத் தவிர, தமிழ் மொழி சார்ந்த கணினி ஆராய்ச்சிகள் பலவும் வரவேற்கப்படுகின்றன. முந்தைய மாநாடுகளில் படைக்கப்பட்ட கட்டுரைகள் உத்தமத்தின் வலைத்தளத்தில் infitt.org உள்ளன. அவற்றை முன்பார்த்து மீள்பார்வைகளிட்டு முன்னால் செய்த ஆய்வுகளைத் திரும்பச் செய்யாமல் புதிய கண்ணோட்டத்தில் உங்கள் ஆய்வுக்கட்டுரைகளைச் சமர்ப்பிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.
மாநாட்டில் வழங்குவதற்கான கட்டுரைகளின் சுருக்கங்கள் மாநாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கக் குழு (CPC) பரிசீலனைக்காக, தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம் அல்லது இருமொழிகளிலும் (தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலத்தில், அதிகபட்சம் இரண்டு A4 பக்கங்கள் அளவில் அனுப்புமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம். கட்டுரைகளின் சுருக்கம் யுனிகோட் குறியீட்டு முறையைப் பயன்படுத்தி எழுதப்பட வேண்டும். கட்டுரைச் சுருக்கங்கள் cpc2018@infitt.org என்ற முகவரிக்கு 2018 ஏப்ரல் 30 க்கு முன்னர் அனுப்பப்பட வேண்டும். கட்டுரைகள் படைக்க விரும்புவோர் கட்டுரையின் சுருக்கங்கள் பின்வரும் மூன்று
பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் ஒன்றாக குறிப்பிட்டு கருத்தரங்கக் குழு பரிசீலனைக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட வேண்டும்:
i) மாநாட்டின் கருத்தரங்க தொழில்நுட்ப அமர்வுகளில் நேரிடையாக (வாய்வழி) வழங்கல்
ii) மாநாடு நடைபெரும் நாட்களில் சுவரொட்டி வழி காட்சிப்படுத்துதல் மற்றும் கலந்துரையாடுதல், மற்றும்
iii) மாநாட்டின் சமூக மைய அமர்வுகளில் சுருக்கமாய் (வாய்மொழி) கட்டுரை வழங்குதல்.
ஆய்வாளர்கள் தங்கள் கட்டுரையைப் பரிசீலனையில் கொள்ளவேண்டிய பிரிவினையைத் தவறாமல் குறிப்பிடுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றனர்.
கருத்தரங்கக் குழு அத்தகைய விருப்பங்களை மனதில் கொண்டு சரியான தேர்வுமுறையைப் பற்றி முடிவு செய்யும். இம்முறையே கட்டுரைகளைப் பரிசீலனை செய்து தேர்வு செய்தால் தரமான கட்டுரைகள் படைக்க உள்ளோர் அனைவரும் மாநாட்டில் பங்கு கொள்ளமுடியும் என்று கருதுகிறோம்.
ஒரு சுருக்கத்தைச் சமர்ப்பித்தல் என்பது கட்டுரையின் ஒரு ஆசிரியராவது மாநாட்டில் நேரில் கலந்துகொண்டு கட்டுரையைப் படைப்பார்கள் என்பதைக் கருத்தில் கொள்ளவேண்டும். மற்றொருவர் மூலமோ அல்லது தொலைதூர மின்வழி மூலமாகவோ கட்டுரை வழங்கல் அனுமதிக்கப்படாது.
2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 15 ஆம் திகதிக்குள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட கட்டுரை விவரங்கள் அறிவிக்கப்ப்படும். ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்ட கட்டுரைகளின் ஆசிரியர்கள், ஜூன் 1, 2018 ஆம் முன்னர், 4 – 6 பக்க அளவில் கட்டுரையின் முழுமையான படைப்பினை சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
மாநாட்டில் படைக்கப்பட உள்ள கட்டுரைகள் அனைத்தும் அச்சிடப்பட்ட காகித வடிவத்தில் புத்தகமாகவும் மின்வடிவிலும் வெளியிடப்படும். புத்தக வெளியீடு சர்வதேசத்தர வரிசை எண்ணுடன் சென்ற ஆண்டுகளின் கட்டுரைத் தொகுப்புகளைப் போல் வெளியிடப்பட்ட உள்ளது. உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள எல்லா முக்கிய நூலகங்களும் சர்வதேசத் தரவரிசையுடன் வெளியிடப்படும் தொழில் நுட்ப மாநாட்டு கட்டுரைத் தொகுப்புகளை நூலக அட்டவணைகளில் பயன்படுத்துகின்றன என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Call for Papers for Tamil Internet Conference 2018
INFITT (International Forum for Information Technology in Tamil) is pleased to call for papers from research scholars and students for presentation at the forthcoming Tamil Internet Conference 2018. The conference (17th in the series) will be held at the Tamilnadu Agricultural University Campus, Coimbatore, during 6-8 July 2018. Dr. K. Kalyanasundaram of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland has been named as the Chair for the Conference Program Committee (CPC).
As in the past, papers will be accepted for presentation in the following three main areas : (i) Technology development in Tamil Computing/IT, (ii) Computer-aided teaching and learning of Tamil and (iii) Tamil Internet – Content Development and Management. Following is a sample listing of topics to be addressed in the technical sessions of the TIC.
Tamil Computing & IT: Speech/Voice recognition, Text-to-speech (TTS) Systems, Search engines, Machine Learning, Machine Translation, Text analytics and Data mining, Tamil “enabling” in mobile platforms (smartphones, tablets, etc.) with particular emphasis for Tamil Apps for use on iOS, Android and Windows platforms, Open Source Tamil software and Tamil Localization, Smart word-processing that includes spell checker, grammar checker, Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications in Tamil, Corpus linguistics and related topics.
Computer Aided teaching and learning of Tamil: Innovative methods of teaching and learning of Tamil using smart devices, technology, mobile learning, augmented reality, online forums and related topics. The emphasis here is on constructive in-depth qualitative/quantitative studies. Mere teaching Tamil using ICT tools may not be enough.
Tamil Internet: Tamil content and delivery via Internet: Blogging, microblogging, Wikipedia, Podcasting, social networks; Tamil Digital Library, Digital Archiving; Tamil Linked Data, Semantic Web, Data Science pertaining to Tamil, Tamil Ontologies, ; Learning Management Systems, Virtual Learning, and related topics.
Apart from the above, any other topic of relevance to Tamil Computing is welcomed. We request the authors to have a look at the past conference papers hosted in the website infitt.org and also other web resources before submitting a paper so that repetitions of past work can be avoided.
In order that we accommodate diverse form of papers for presentation at the conference, the Conference Program Committee (CPC) will review and select papers submitted under the following three categories: i) Original research leading to identifiable deliverables in all above three areas for oral presentations for presentation in the technical sessions of the conference hub; ii) poster presentations of research work, to be displayed and discussed during the conference days and iii) papers for brief (oral) presentation in the community Hub component of the TIC. Authors are strongly encouraged to indicate the category to which their paper is to be considered. CPC will review the papers accordingly. CPC also reserves the right to assign any submitted abstract for presentation in any of the above categories. Papers that include analysis with some extension of previously published work (software or web content) will be considered under last two categories. We believe that this compromise will encourage a larger community to present their work while keeping the quality of technology-related papers as high as possible.
The abstracts (max two A4 pages) can be in Tamil, English or bilingual (Tamil and English) but all abstracts must be written using Unicode encoding. The abstracts should be sent to cpc2018@infitt.org before 30 April 2018. Submission of an abstract implies that at least one author of the paper will attend the conference to present the work in person. Proxy or remote presentation is not permitted. In case an author submits a paper and does not come in person, the content will not be accepted in the proceedings or online versions of the conference.
Authors of papers accepted for presentation will be informed on or before 15 may 2018. Authors of the accepted Abstracts should submit their full papers, not less than 4 pages long and not exceeding 6 pages long, on or before 1 June 2018.
The Conference Proceedings will be published in printed paper format and as an e-book. Arrangements are being made to have the Conference Proceedings of the annual Tamil Internet Conferences published with an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number). ISSN will permit routine indexation of the Conference Proceedings in bibliographic databases of all leading libraries across the globe and proper referencing of the content of the Proceedings in academic journal publications. The conference proceedings will be made available online in the website of INFITT for indexation and archival records.
