| If the above
questions have hit you, it means that you have arrived at the doorstep
of the Internet Age. Like you, many others are in search for answers to
questions such as these and much more. Often, they find the solutions far
too late.
The Internet is all about speed, reach and execution. The brick and mortar enterprises have realised this and are fighting tooth and nail to transform themselves. The threat comes from small startups, heavily capitalised and focused on specific markets, using the Internet as their primary business channel. These may not even be based in your country of operation. National boundaries are of little relevance to the Internet world. Language is the new domain. By focussing on language groups, these new nimble but aggressive ebusinesses are reaching out to markets across the world instantaneously. Like many other major language groups, the Tamil Diaspora is vast - with more than 65 million native speakers scattered around the world. Tamil Internet 2000, the world's largest conference on the Tamil iEconomy, is the gateway to this increasingly net-savvy group. The President the Republic Of Singapore, Mr S.R. Nathan will grace a Gala Dinner to commemorate the hosting of the event in Singapore for the second time. Singapore's Minister of Trade and Industry, BG George Yeo will also officiate at the event. Singapore, aspiring to be Asia's leading e-hub, is well positioned to develop an Internet culture with an Asian flavour. The nation is home to some of the most widely spoken languages in Asia. With its connected infrastructure and high Internet penetration, Singapore is ready to rise up to the challenge of leading Asia into the Internet Age. It is with this in mind that the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore has sanctioned Tamil Internet 2000 as an Information Communication Technology initiative to dot com Singapore. Also supported by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event is expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors. TISC invites you to be a special participant in this event by bringing your business into the heart of the event - the Internet Fair. Reach out to those who want to be reached virtually. Discover the latest consumer and business trends by interacting with thousands of people and other businesses. Lastly, promote and sell your e-solutions. All at Tamil Internet 2000 - Directions To The Digital World. For more information on the eBusiness Hub, please contact the TI2000 secretariat at 65-2208046 or email webmaster@tamilinaiyam2000.org |
